Sweat Saturdays

A new weekly fitness series at Boxi Park

May 12, 2021

Every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. you can find us sweating it out at Boxi Park’s new $5 weekly workout series, Sweat Saturdays.

Each week, class is led by a different, but familiar face on the fitness scene in Lake Nona offering a variety of different workouts for every skill level.

Since kicking off in early March, Sweat Saturdays have featured dance cardio with Missy Isom, founder of SOUL Fitness and bootcamp with F45 fitness instructor Tyrell Edwards. We also trained with Pixon’s Rukus Cycling Studios, learned interval training from Orange Theory, practiced Pilates with Neighborhood Barre and Club Pilates, and got a preview of what to expect when the Lake Nona Performance Club (LNPC) opens this summer thanks to classes hosted by the LNPC team.

While the workout is different each week, the setting stays the same. Before class, all the picnic tables in front of the main stage are moved out of the way so there’s plenty of space for everyone to workout and spots are limited to allow for social distancing. Depending on the activity, complimentary yoga mats are available if you don’t have one.

After class, participants are treated to juice from Veg’n Out. Plus, by the time class is over, Boxi Park is ready to open for the day with their usual mix of tasty bites and beverages, playground, beach volleyball courts, and more. Or, venture across the street and pick up some fresh produce, shop local vendors, and enjoy live music at the Lake Nona Farmer’s Market.

Come for class and stay for the day in Lake Nona, every Saturday at 10 a.m. at Boxi Park. Follow Boxi Park and Lake Nona on Facebook and Instagram to find out what fitness class is up next and follow the link to register for the ones you want to join. See you there!
