Fresh Tex Mex Rolls Into Lake Nona

Central Florida’s favorite local Tex-Mex spot, Tijuana Flats, recently opened as the first tenant in Lake Nona Greenwood on Narcoossee Rd. The bright, welcoming restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating where guests can dine in as well as a convenient to-go counter for take-out and delivery.

Known for using the freshest ingredients and signature flavors, Tijuana Flats is a staple for Tex-Mex dishes including queso, guacamole, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, flautas, and more.

The new Lake Nona store layout includes two kitchen lines – one for in-restaurant and one for online orders – to make sure no matter how you order, your food is hot and ready fast. Tijuana Flats even has its own app where Tex-Mex devotees can place orders for delivery or pick-up while racking up loyalty program rewards points.

The store’s general manager, Kyle Tokar, has been with Tijuana Flats for more than 15 years working his way up from a cook to management and now at the helm of the Lake Nona Greenwood location.

“I love getting to know our guests and creating relationships with the community,” said Kyle. “Giving back and contributing to the communities we serve is a huge part of who we are as a company.”

That spirit of community extends beyond the dining room. Through the company’s Just in Queso Foundation, they mobilize those that eat and work in their restaurants to build connections through education, awareness, contributions, volunteerism, and inclusion for all. Tijuana Flats is also proud to support spirit nights where local groups and schools can host a fundraiser to give back to a specific cause or charity.
